Jeffrey S. (“Jeff”) Gilbert is Vice President of Lexicon Systems, LLC, a respected business advisor and project manager. A veteran of the chemical industry with more than twenty-five years in operations management, engineering, contract management and environmental management, he provides a “hands-on, real-world" perspective.

Gilbert has multimedia environment, health & safety (EHS) expertise with a special interest in air emissions management issues. His business experience includes capital project management, due diligence, toll manufacturer contract management, process supervision and process engineering.
An engineer by training, Jeff most recently held a senior Environmental position at a Texas-based chemical company. He advised senior management on mergers & acquisitions, business and compliance issues. In addition, he managed a group of environmental professionals and technicians and provided oversight for the implementation of a commercial EHS software package.
Previously Jeff gained hands-on business, operations and environmental experience through contract administration, process supervision and process engineering positions at one of the world’s largest chemical companies. Jeff started his career as a Process Engineer in a global chemical company. After completing service in the U.S. Army he returned to the chemical industry.
While in the chemical industry, Gilbert was active in community, industry and professional organizations such as the Texas Chemical Council, Styrene Information and Research Center, American Chemistry Council, Texas City/La Marque Community Advisory Panel and the Air & Waste Management Association. Jeff earned a B.S in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering the University of Tennessee.
